About the Event

Here is your welcome video on how to prepare for virtual cooking and how to substitute ingredients based on your own flavor profile and palate. I find most clients feel these videos address most questions posed by class participants.

"Mediterranean Night"

-Gluten free option

-Great for beginners, novice cooks and those wanting to expand their flavor profile beyond their comfort zones

-Class length: 2 hours

A few examples of what you will learn:

-How to pan sear a chicken breast and create delicate bites that are never dry and always tender

-How to deglaze a pan to capture all of the flavor left behind from searing

-The effects of lemon/lime juice (acid) in your yogurt sauce (tzatziki)

-How the effects of roasting vegetables create another layer of complex flavor through the caramelization of natural starches/sugars (maillard reaction)

-How wine can transform your dish when appropriately balanced

-To show gratitude to yourself for learning something new and apply it real time in class

Cuisine created:

-Mediterranean chicken w/ tomato, feta, fresh oregano, sumac and tzatziki

-Oven roasted potatoes w/ za'atar

-Oven roasted broccoli and cauliflower w/ cinnamon and cumin

-Pita (store bought) "How to make pita" is part of my bread making 101 class

*Here is your current grocery list. Final list updated NLT March 11th to reflect dietary modifications/options for class registrants. Shopping lists will also be emailed to the address used for event registration. All lists can be personally modified by class participants based on items avaialble at home and when substituting for allergies etc.*
